        • What time does Premium Viewing open?
          Gates to the Drop Zone Beach open each day at 9am.
        • What time does the Flight Line VIP Clubhouse and Chalets open?
          The Flight Line VIP Clubhouse, VIP Penthouse and Chalets open each day at 10am.
        • How long is the event?
          Exhibits and displays open at 9 am, the OC Air Show starts at 12 noon and ends around 4 pm
        • Will the schedule be the same both days?
          Most of it will be the same, all the major acts will perform both days.
        • Can I go in and out of the Drop Zone Beach and VIP areas?
          Yes, you will receive a wristband that will allow you to go out and re-enter the Drop Zone Beach.
        • What do you recommend to bring to the show?
          Sunscreen, a beach chair and an umbrella for shade.  Every else is available in the Drop Zone Beach.
        • Are backpacks allowed into the Drop Zone?
          Backpacks are allowed and will be subject to security inspection upon entrance .
        • Are cameras and video recorders allowed?
          Yes, feel free to take as many photos/videos as you would like.
        • Are pets allowed on the beach?
          No, city ordinances prohibit bringing pets onto the beach
        • Is there going to be food & drinks for purchase in the Drop Zone Beach area?
          Yes, a variety of food and beverage items will be available including beer ranging in price from $3-$15.
        • Alcohol is available for purchase in the Drop Zone?
          Yes, beer will be available for purchase.  It must be purchased on-site and cannot be brought into the Drop Zone Beach area.
        • Will food and beverage available for purchase be cash only? Will credit cards be accepted?
          Food and beverage vendors will accept both cash and credit cards.
        • Will vegetarian/vegan/gluten-free food options be available for purchase?
          Our concessionaire makes every effort to ensure menu items are suitable for all guests. It is recommended that all attendees who have a food restriction eat before arriving to the show. Additionally, there are several restaurants along the boardwalk that offer full service menus to accommodate your needs.
        • Are there any shaded areas?
          Shade is limited as the show viewing area is on the beach. You will be allowed to bring a hand-held personal or beach umbrella.
        • Can I bring a tent or awning?
          Due to safety concerns for all patrons, personal tents or awnings are not allowed on air show grounds. Personal hand-held or beach umbrellas are allowed.
        • Do I need to bring my own seating or can I purchase/rent seating there at the event?
          We recommend that all attendees with Drop Zone tickets bring their own seating. Personal seating is discouraged from being brought into the Flight Line VIP Clubhouse and VIP Penthouse as seating is provided in each of these venues.
        • Will there be a broadcast of the show’s narration on local radio?
          No, the only narration of the air show will be available in the Drop Zone and VIP areas.
        • Do you recommend ear protection for children?
          Some children wear ear protection, some do not. It is completely up to you.
        • How do I request media credentials?

        • Where is Lost & Found located?
          At the box office located at 16th St and the Boardwalk.
        • What are your preferred hotels?
          Our Where-to-Stay page features the hotels where the pilots and teams are staying.
        • Do you have any special provisions for the handicapped?
          Designated areas located along the seawall of the Drop Zone will be available for attendees needing accessible access.
        • Do you have senior citizen, military, student or other discounts?
          We offer a universal discount to everyone when you purchase your tickets in advance either online or by phone.
        • If I purchased tickets for Saturday can I use them on Sunday instead?
          Tickets are day specific.  If you would like to change the date of your ticket, please contact our box office by telephone 877.301.8499 or email.
        • Can I present my tickets on my cell phone?
          You will be able to present your tickets for entry into the air show on your cell phone.  If you purchase Flight Line Club or VIP Penthouse tickets with a parking pass, it must be printed and visible to parking and traffic attendants.
        • I purchased my tickets in advance, but have not received them. What do I do?
          Contact our box office by phone at 877.301.8499 or via email and they will be able to assist you.
        • I lost my tickets, what do I do?

        • What is your Rain Policy?
          In the event of non-authorized intervention, weather or other causes beyond our control, the event may be terminated or suspended and tickets are non-refundable. If the event is cancelled in its entirety on Saturday due to weather, tickets will be honored on Sunday. If the event is cancelled in its entirety on Sunday or for the weekend due to weather, tickets will be refunded or honored at the next year’s event.

    Where do the planes fly from and land at It seems that the local municipal airport isn’t big enough to handle everyone

      Hey Lee, the planes fly from a couple different places, including the local Salisbury Regional Airport and Wallops Air Force base. Thanks for the great question!

    What is the radio frequency for the airboss this year for air traffic control? I believe it was 125.1 last year, could you please confirm?

      If it’s smaller than an umbrella, you should be fine. Just nothing that obstructs someone else’s view in a huge way!

          There is no parking at the Convention Center on Sunday, unfortunately. Sorry! There are quite a few lots with paid parking around the boardwalk.

    I just purchased VIP tickets. Just reading some reviews on Facebook that were not very complimentary of the experience last year. Have improvements been made? I’m worried.

      Hey Erin, we have actually made a lot of improvements to ensure all of our guests have a fantastic event. i n the VIP Flight Line you will be provided with a beach chair, umbrella, food, drinks and shaded tent with tables for eating. We also have worked with our catering crew to ensure that a long line doesn’t form and that we have good quality and quantity. If you have ANY concerns during the show, please find one of the many volunteers that will be stationed in the area, and ask them to call for a member of our management team. We truly believe you will enjoy the experience and the show!

        Where should we park? In years past my family and I just went to the inlet parking and parked and walked the boardwalk to watch. Is that still something thats ok to do? I read about some parking in west OC and some sort of shuttle.

      There is a private ticket-only area of the show that stretches from 13th up to about 17th street with the best views and audio of the show. Everything north and south of that is public beach, first-come, first serve.

    What airfield is hosting the P51 and which the B25? Are they open to the public to see these planes prior to the OC Air Show?

      Hi Ginny, unfortunately these planes are not available to the public prior to the show for viewing. Some of our performers are flying from Wallops AFB, and others from Salisbury Regional.

      We can guarantee the views only at show center, which is 15th through 17th Street, but the planes do fly along the coast.

      There is no schedule for the Thunderbird practices prior to the show. We recommend that you stay tuned to our Facebook page, as we do provide real-time updates on our performers.

    Do I understand correctly that ANYONE can park at Convention center and there is a shuttle to 14th/15th st that ANYONE can take or does shuttle take you to the inlet?

      Hey Joanne, the shuttle is only available to bring ticketed guests. You must show your ticket in order to board the shuttle.

    Driving in for the day, what is the recommended places to park, is there any offsite parking and buses available to transport you in? I can just imagine the streets and local parking lots are a mad house.

      The area around show center will be ticketed parking only; any other parking that is marked as publicly available is up for grabs, but it will fill up quickly.

    Im confused what the drop zone is. It’s ticketed right? What is it and do I need a ticket? We plan to just “come to the beach” and get in the water like a normal beach outing with there just happening to be an show there we want to see 🙂 We can get in the water like normal during the show right? We can go anywhere on the beach as normal right?

      Hi Rich – there is a special area near show center that is ticketed for the best possible view. General public is not allowed in without a ticket. See our site map for more information.

    We have Drop Zone tickets for Saturday!
    My wife is on crutches due To a back injury and cannot walk on the sand. Is there a spot for handicapped to watch the show? Do we need to do anything to reserve? Thank you!

      We have pre-approved food vendors available along the show boardwalk for our Drop Zone customers. We do not allow food vendors that have not contracted with our air show.

        Will there be a shuttle from the convention center to the air show? Is it for anyone or only for ticket holders? In years past, I was able to walk to the convention center from my condo and take the shuttle down.

          Hi Dave, there will be a shuttle running from the Convention Center to the air show for our guests who show their tickets.

          Come down to the boardwalk at 16th Street, just north of the Air Boss station (the big blue tent) and talk with the guys in the purple shirts. We’ll get you squared away – our apologies for the printing issue!

      Hi Karen, The Air Show is Saturday and Sunday. There might be the occasional test flight on Friday happening in and around Ocean City, but not a formal program. We hope to see you out at the show this weekend!

The parking is very specific here in Ocean City, due to it being largely on specific streets, so we release it closer to the show, in order to ensure enough parking for all different levels of attendees.     I have 2 tickets that say VIP Hospitality Beach Chalet, for Sunday. What is included with these tickets?

      Hey Leigh Ann, that sounds like tickets for one of our sponsor chalets – did you receive them as a guest of one of the performers or one of our sponsors? You will have access to their specific tent area on the bench, which has chairs, tables, and food and drinks for the duration of the show. We look forward to having you as our guest!

    Will chairs be provided in the Flight Line Club this year? Last year there were only a few chairs under the tent but not nearly enough for everyone that purchased VIP tickets. Most had to rent chairs from the beach vendors.

      Hey Heather – so the tent area for Flight Line Club are generally two 20’x10′ tents, which include tables and chairs for our guests to enjoy their food. We also will be providing complimentary beach chairs for VIPs to sit on the beach in front of the tented area during the duration of the show. This allows our guests to alternate between enjoying the sun and the waves, and our hospitality in the shade! We look forward to seeing you there.

    Will any part of the boardwalk be closed during the shows and can I watch the show from 20th street on the boardwalk and beach.

      Hey Frank, thanks for your question! We’ve got a site map on our website here (Site Map). Basically, the best viewing for the show is from 15th street to around 18th. We recommend purchasing the Drop Zone (General Admission) tickets so you can be up on the 50-yard line to view the show (which are on sale for 35% off through tomorrow!). We can’t guarantee the visibility from 20th street, though of course you can try. We do mark off part of the boardwalk during the show for foot traffic. Hope to see you out at the show!

    Was disappointed last year. We were told to expect a large amount of food vendors but there were none. I had to walk 20 minutes to get a $20 cardboard pizza.The people next to us left for over an hour and a half and missed the best part of the show. I want to come again but not without the food vendors. It makes for a bad show sitting around hungry .Will there be food vendors this year.

      Hi Charles, we’re so sorry to hear about your disappointment with the 2017 show. There will be a significant number of food vendors this year, and our management team does our utmost to ensure a strong variety of foods available. Due to our Ocean City show being a beach-front air show, the vendors must set up on the boardwalk/street-side area of the show. It does require a short walk, but should not be overly inconvenient from the Drop Zone (General Admissions) area of the spectator show. One suggestion that we might make is to consider upgrading to a Flight Line VIP club ticket? Included in the cost of that level is complimentary food and drink for the duration of the day. It’s an excellent way to avoid the lines at the food vendors as well as to ensure that you catch the whole show. Let us know if you have any other questions, and thank you for your feedback.       Hi Patrick, the Thunderbirds’ practice schedule is subject to the time of their arrival, which is generally not determined until a couple days before the show. We encourage you to come out on Saturday and Sunday to see them truly perform!

    During what hours will general aviation be permitted to arrive & depart KOXB on Sat / Sun, June 16 & 17 if we would like to fly in for the Air Show?

    (Yes, I already have my tickets. We’re coming back for more after a great 2016 experience!)

    Will I be able to view the show well from my Oceanfront balcony on 20th St.? Would I be missing anything?

      Hi Kylie, show center is at 16th and the boardwalk, so it may be possible to see it from an Oceanfront from 20th, but we can’t ensure what the visibility would be because it depends on your room location and other factors outside of our control. You can buy tickets on the day of event, if you decide to come out onto the beach!

    I know that your fact sheet says there is no radio broadcast, but is there any way that the audio could be broadcast on the Ocean City Advisory Radio stations. I have 2 young children and getting down to Show Center to hear and enjoy the commentary from the announcer will be near impossible. I know years ago the audio was broadcast and it was great! I hope something could be worked out so everyone on the beach and surrounding areas can enjoy the show too.

      Hi Jamie, unfortunately, we do not broadcast the air show narration. You might consider coming out for 1 or 2 hours to our DropZone during your favorite acts, just to get a feel for the show. That’s the great thing about an air show – you don’t have to stay for the whole thing, and you can come and go as you please! THanks so much for your feedback – we appreciate your enjoyment of the show and introducing aviation enthusiasm to your kids.

        If you’re watching from the beach in front of any part of the boardwalks you have to be within 300 feet of the beach or further than 3,300 feet off the beach. If you’re north of the boardwalk you can raft anywhere.

    The VIP shuttle and and parking at the convention center is where I park for the Condo parking. I have a ticket for drop zone.

    Will this be an issue. My car will be there already parked in the lot designated because of the Condo overflow parking or will it have to be moved?

    Also, even though I do not have the VIP would I be able to take the shuttle as well or no?

      There is parking available throughout the town. Parking is available on street as well as in private lots just as it is on a normal beach weekend.

      There are various access points through the fence that are guarded by security to allow entry into the ocean and re-entry into the Drop Zone.

    I have my ticket. I will be driving in for the Sunday show from Odessa, DE. I would like to know locations of Park and Rides so I can get close and take a bus into O.C. Parking is a nightmare.

      The West Ocean City Park & Ride is located at 12848 Ocean Gateway Ocean City MD 21842 and will pick you up and drop you off at 16th St and Baltimore Avenue.
